Design of a one-room apartment of 53 square meters, Kyiv, RC “River Stone”

A timeless modern design by Simpeks Design

Simpeks Design was commissioned to design a one-room apartment measuring 53 square meters in the River Stone residential complex in Kyiv. The homeowners requested a modern design using light, pleasant colors that would remain stylish for many years to come.

Light, bright colors

The designers chose a neutral color palette of light greys, whites and beiges. These soft hues keep the space feeling airy and uplifting. High gloss paint on the walls reflects natural light from large windows.

Sleek, multifunctional furniture

Sleek white cabinets, shelves and a floating bed frame give the illusion of more space. The bed lifts up to reveal built-in storage underneath. A modular sectional sofa provides flexible seating that can be rearranged as needed.

Complementary wood accents

Strips of light wood paneling on the walls and ceiling add visual interest without darkening the space. A wood grain tile floor in a herringbone pattern is both durable and stylish. Bars of wood-look chipboard on cabinets lend natural warmth.

Modern appliances

Stainless steel appliances including a combined refrigerator-freezer, cooktop, and wall oven blend seamlessly into the clean-lined kitchen space. Touchscreen controls keep the high-tech vibe current.

Timeless, sustainable design

Through thoughtful materials, lighting and furniture choices, Simpeks Design has created a light-filled, modern oasis that will continue to feel fresh and contemporary for years to come. Sustainable elements like the modular furniture also allow for flexibility as the homeowners’ needs change over time.
