Design of a One-Room Apartment of 45 sq. m. in Kyiv’s Lvivskyi Residential Complex

Project Overview

Simpeks Design took on the project of designing a 45 square meter one-room apartment located in the Lvivskyi residential complex in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Client Profile

The clients for this project were a young married couple who work in business but value comfort and coziness in their home. While their careers keep them busy, they wanted a space where they could truly relax and enjoy their time at home.

Design Goals

The main goals for this design were to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where the clients could feel comfortable yet not overwhelmed. They wanted a space that was functional for everyday living but did not feel cluttered or overly busy.

Design Elements

To achieve the goals, Simpeks Design incorporated the following key elements:

• Light wood laminate flooring to provide warmth underfoot throughout.
• Neutral gray and beige tones on the walls and built-ins to keep the space feeling bright yet cozy.
• A large sectional sofa in a durable fabric, positioned around a sleek glass coffee table for lounging.
• A fully equipped galley kitchen with white shaker cabinets and gray quartz countertops.
• Built-in storage solutions like wall units and a large walk-in closet to maximize space.
• Strategic task lighting and floor and table lamps for various lighting needs.
• Original artwork and plants to add visual interest without clutter.

Outcome

The clients were thrilled with the warm, inviting space Simpeks Design created. They especially loved how the large closet kept the apartment feeling spacious yet organized. The cozy yet sleek design allowed them to relax at home during their limited free time in the city. The project was deemed a complete success.
