Design Goals and Aesthetic
With the clients’ busy lifestyle in mind, the design goals for this project emphasized creating a light, calming space with nothing superfluous. The primary design elements included light colors, exquisite yet minimalist furniture, and a concise overall layout to keep the space feeling open and relaxing.
Key Design Features
Some of the key design features implemented to achieve the project goals included:
A neutral light gray palette used throughout for the walls, flooring, and built-in storage elements to make the space feel bright and airy.
A modular white sectional sofa to serve as the main seating area, with additional poufs and throw pillows for flexibility.
A floating wood-top dining table with chrome base and upholstered dining chairs, positioned near the kitchen for easy meals at home.
A fully equipped galley-style kitchen with white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances to allow for easy meal prep.
Built-in shelving and storage throughout to maximize storage while maintaining the open feel.
Strategic task and accent lighting to make the space feel welcoming day or night.
Large windows along one wall to allow for plenty of natural light and views of the city.
Original artwork in muted tones throughout to add visual interest without clutter.
