Design of a one-room apartment for a young couple
A bright interior, a cozy bedroom, a place to work, and a balcony for relaxation — in this SIMPEKS DESIGN project, we combined solutions that make a one-room apartment comfortable for living together.
The design of the apartment for a young couple is made in a modern style. Milky, beige and gray-brown shades create a calm background, and textured surfaces, soft textiles and black accents add expressiveness to the interior. All rooms are united by a common palette and attention to the daily needs of the owners.
Kitchen design in light colors
The bright kitchen combines laconic design and functionality. Smooth facades, tall cabinets and a built-in oven form a complete furniture composition. Dark horizontal lines emphasize the geometry of the kitchen, and a light countertop and an apron with a delicate stone pattern support the overall palette.
The worktop lighting adds convenience while cooking. There is a dining area with soft chairs by the window – a place for breakfasts for two, dinners and meetings with loved ones.
Light tulle lets in daylight, while thick curtains help create a more private atmosphere in the evening.
Kitchen with seating area
A compact sofa with decorative pillows is located next to the dining table. This makes the kitchen a space not only for cooking, but also for socializing and relaxing.
An abstract painting above the sofa supports the interior colors. Vertical black lamps add graphicity, and hidden lighting along the ceiling creates a soft evening light.
This kitchen design with a sofa allows you to combine several everyday scenarios in one room and make a one-room apartment more comfortable for a young family.
Bedroom in a modern style
The bedroom is decorated in calm, warm tones. A bed with a soft headboard, bedside tables, and textiles of various textures create a cozy place to recover after a busy day.
The accent wall behind the bed has a distinct texture. It is emphasized by hidden lighting and two laconic wall lamps. Vertical decorative rails near the work area complement the composition and add rhythm.
A spacious ceiling-to-ceiling wardrobe provides storage for clothes and personal belongings. Light facades harmonize with the walls, so the furniture is perceived as part of the room’s architecture.
Workplace in the bedroom
For working from home, there is a compact desk next to the window. Here you can conveniently place a laptop, documents and a desk lamp.
Open shelves above the table allow you to keep books and necessary small items close at hand, and drawers help maintain order. The workplace in the bedroom is decorated in the same style as the other furniture and organically fits into the interior.
This is a practical solution for a one-room apartment, where it is important to provide a home work area without a separate office.
Cozy seating area on the balcony
The balcony is designed as a place for quiet relaxation. A hanging chair on a pole with a soft cushion creates a cozy corner for reading, morning coffee or a short break during the day.
Light finishes and translucent curtains maintain a light feel. A wall lamp complements the natural lighting and makes the space cozy in the evening.
The balcony design continues the overall concept of the apartment and adds another place for the owners to relax.
Bathroom design in warm colors
The bathroom is decorated with stone-patterned cladding in a warm gray-beige palette. The combination of textured surfaces, chrome details and discreet furniture creates a coherent modern interior.
A glass shower enclosure maintains the visual openness of the space. A wall-hung toilet, washing machine, and wall-mounted cabinet provide the necessary household functions. The lighting under the cabinet accentuates the niche and adds soft light.
The thoughtful design of a small bathroom helps to combine a shower area, storage, and space for appliances without unnecessary details.
