Expressive architecture, a light palette, and contrasting accents are the basis of this penthouse design project by SIMPEKS DESIGN. The interior was created for a couple with a daughter and combines a space for shared relaxation with private areas for each.
The project includes a kitchen-living room with a fireplace, a children’s room for a girl, a separate office, two dressing rooms and two bathrooms. Special accents are the visually light stairs between the levels and a separate bathroom.
A modern interpretation of the Art Deco style
The Art Deco penthouse design is built on a combination of clear geometry, embossed surfaces and decorative details. Milky and gray-beige shades create a calm background for dark stone patterns, glass elements and metal accents.
Vertical reliefs on the walls and furniture add rhythm. Light surfaces with a marble pattern emphasize the integrity of the interior, and warm lighting reveals textures and creates a cozy atmosphere in the evening.
Spacious kitchen-living room with island
The kitchen, dining area and living room are combined into a common space for family life. Kitchen facades in light and gray tones are complemented by built-in appliances and work surface lighting.
The kitchen’s central focus is an island with a dark stone pattern. It provides additional surface for cooking and a place for quick breakfasts or conversations over coffee.
Nearby is a dining table with soft chairs. Large windows, light tulle and thick curtains fill the space with natural light and allow you to adjust privacy. Geometric ceiling light lines and decorative pendants emphasize zoning.
Living room with fireplace
The fireplace area has become the compositional center of the living room. The wide horizontal line of fire is combined with the dark cladding with a stone pattern and the light panels of the TV wall.
Open shelves with lighting create space for decor, and vertical relief elements support the Art Deco style. A large light sofa and coffee table form a comfortable area for social evenings and receiving guests.

Aerial staircase as an architectural accent
The staircase between the levels of the penthouse is perceived as an independent element of the interior. Dark steps with open spaces and transparent glass railing create the effect of visual lightness.
The lighting emphasizes the contours of the steps, and the cascade of pendant lights accentuates the height of the space. Vertical wall panels support the direction of movement and connect the staircase area with other rooms.
Nearby, a decorative composition with wood, white pebbles, and light balls is arranged. It softens the strict lines and adds a natural accent.
